  • ROLES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

    The Field Merchandiser supports London stores and visual managers to lead a profitable and customer centric environment by developing talent, facilitating the merchant process and applying merchant skills to create compelling, well curated customer experience. Responsible for the visual proposition across the retail business, this is a varied role covering both apparel and home product groups

    SALES & PROFITABILITY

    • Meets or exceeds sales, payroll and shrink goals. Controls all expenses to increase profitability
    • Partners with the Store Managers and Visual Managers to assess the business using company reporting tools; prioritizes and creates actions plans
    • Partners with the Store Managers to communicate priority product and allocation needs to home office partners
    • Collaborate with Store Managers and Visual Managers to apply seasonal initiatives to drive sales through presentation

    PEOPLE & DEVELOPEMENT

    • Partners with the Store Manager and Visual Manager to create a culture of action and accountability
    • Takes responsibility for own development and professional growth; identifies and trains role replacement in preparation for career progression

    AESTHETIC UNDERSTANDING & APPLICATION

    • Has a strong understanding of trend and style that is reflective of the brand and local core customer
    • Supports the execution of presentation inclusive of merchandising, floor planning, display and outfitting
    • Supports product placement and outfitting that is reflective of trend, reinforces brand messaging, and inspires the customer
    • Leads stock-to-sales processes and presentation standards
    • Utilizes and maintains store structure and floor plan to creatively apply merchant skills
    • Contributes creative ideas and solutions regarding merchandising and display
    • Confident with outfit building and mannequin styling
    • Is constantly aware of current trends within both home and apparel presentation
    • Applies seasonal concept direction and inspiration provided by the Home Office to meet the unique needs of the store

     LEADERSHIP

    • Collaborates with store teams to develop understanding of display big ideas and processes
    • Communicates effectively at all levels
    • Supplies the Home Office with constructive feedback on visual execution
    • Serves as a leader and inspirational resource within the region
    • Collaborates with the Head of Creative and DDM to assist in planning and execution of display
    • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately filters and communicates all presentation initiatives
    • Possesses strong assessment and decision-making skills
    • Communicates brand, region, and district goals consistently and effectively
    • Builds and maintains productive partnerships

    OPERATING PROCEDURES

    • Effectively plans weekly, monthly and seasonal visual objectives

    • Delivering Solution based district problem solving across all stores
    • Submits high quality images, following approved company standards, of completed interior and window execution
    • Adheres to all company safety guidelines
    • Adheres to and develops awareness around internal and external Loss Prevention procedures
    • Upholds all Company Policy and Procedures
    • Manages physical integrity of stores (pertaining to overall aesthetic)
