  • Anthropologie – Planner

    The objective of this position is to maximize sales by developing sound merchandise plans that support Company goals for sales, turn and margin.  The role while primarily supporting the Senior Planner across Anthropologie Home business it will allow the right candidate the opportunity to manage a the Décor division on their own.  A sound analytical ability will be key in forming business strategies for the respective area. 

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Take overall responsibility for the planning and trading of a division.
    • Create, review and present Divisional and class plans seasonally.
    • Analyse sales, stock and profitability performance by item, class, department, vendor, and attribute groupings.  Use this knowledge and trend direction to provide recommendations to maximise opportunities and limit liabilities.
    • Develop strong partnerships with buyers to understand their vision and direction, establish an understanding of customers and buying trends.
    • Work with buying team to help plan assortment plans and distort buys accordingly to sales trends and planned sell throughs.
    • Take trend and buyer direction and interpret it into a profitable strategy. 
    • Identify and execute business opportunities, while minimising risk.
    • Monitor customer choices based on analysis of capacity and turnover.
    • Monitor and evaluate the Open-to-Buy. 
    • Provide timely and accurate re-projections based upon current trends to effectively manage inventory. 
    • Manage, train and motivate a small team of Junior Staff.

    Primary Skills:

    • Proficiency Microsoft Excel

    • Ability to analyze, present and communicate information in a manner that allows informed decision-making
